Time – 5:30 Tee Times
Dates – Every Monday from May 18th through August 10th
Scoring – Two Person Net Better Ball. Individual Net Competition. Optional $20 Net Skins Game.
Each round has two games happening for all players – a team game and an individual game. In the team game, 2-person teams play a net best ball format. Each player plays their own ball into the hole. This is NOT a scramble.
After each ball is holed, the team enters each player’s gross (actual) score into the Spark app which calculates the net score for each player based on current handicaps. The team score used for the hole is the better of the 2 net scores. The individual game is the net score for each player on their own ball.
Skins will also be available each round. A skin is awarded to an individual who has the lowest non-tied, net score on a hole during the round.
Senior Golf League
This Senior Golf League is open to all senior golfers (men & women) from beginner to advanced levels. Play is on Monday mornings, May through September, with tee times between 7:30 and 9:38. We welcome folks who have just learned the game and want to learn more while having fun; however, this is not an “instructional” league. It is assumed that everyone knows the basics of golf as well as golf etiquette and rules.
The price is $30 whether walking or riding, and play is always on the back nine. Come enjoy meeting new players or old friends while taking in the fresh air and the beautiful Virginia scenery. A $25 season fee applies (cash or check to Senior Center Golf Group).
