GET TO KNOW THE LAY OF THE LAND

HOLE #1
This very challenging slight dogleg right par four is best played by laying up to the top of the hill, about 200 yards, then played to the large green guarded by a creek in front and a lake on the left.

PAR 4 YARDS 349
HANDICAP LADIES: 11; MEN: 5
HOLE #2
A fairly straight hole, this par four is guarded on the left by out of bounds and right by 2 ponds.

PAR 4 YARDS 428
HANDICAP LADIES: 1; MEN: 3
HOLE #3
The first of the par fives, this fairway slopes right and left. An ideal layup is 100 yards from the green.

PAR 5 YARDS 505
HANDICAP LADIES: 3; MEN: 7
HOLE #4
The shortest of the par threes, this 118 yard hole has one of the bigger greens. Don't be fooled, as the slopes of this green has caused many three putts.

PAR 3 YARDS 118
HANDICAP LADIES: 17; MEN: 17
HOLE #5
This dogleg par four offers plenty of area to hit your tee shot. If the pin is back left, play to the middle of the green. A par here is a good score.

PAR 4 YARDS 388
HANDICAP LADIES: 9; MEN: 9
HOLE #6
If you like a tour-style hole, jump on the back tee and challenge this 464 yard par four. Most players are left with a hybrid to middle iron. A par on this hole is great.

PAR 4 YARDS 464
HANDICAP LADIES: 5; MEN: 1
HOLE #7
After playing the tough opening stretch of holes, number seven offers some relief from the tee. The uphill second shot to a green that is oddly angled makes hitting the green difficult, add at least one club to your distance.

PAR 4 YARDS 366
HANDICAP LADIES: 7; MEN: 11
HOLE #8
A dogleg right par four, many are tempted to "cut the corner". The percentage play is over the fairway bunker where you are left about 100 yards to this large green.

PAR 4 YARDS 345
HANDICAP LADIES: 13; MEN: 13
HOLE #9
This par 3 is a good finishing hole to the opening nine. The ninth is played to a large green with traps both left and right. Aim for the center of the green for an easy par three.

PAR 3 YARDS 160
HANDICAP LADIES: 15; MEN: 15
HOLE #10
The second of the par fives, play your tee shot to the right side of the fairway. Make sure your layup shot clears the rough on the side of the hill. Third shot should be in middle of green for best opportunity for a par.

PAR 5 YARDS 526
HANDICAP LADIES: 4; MEN: 10
HOLE #11
One of the more scenic holes, don't be tempted to drive this par four. Hit to the middle of the fairway and play in to the uphill green. Stay below the hole if possible.

PAR 4 YARDS 300
HANDICAP LADIES: 12; MEN: 14
HOLE #12
The last par five is probably the hardest. Play tee shot to left side of fairway for your best angle to the lay up or to go for the green. Approach shot needs to avoid the big slope in the middle of the green. Par is your friend here.

PAR 5 YARDS 499
HANDICAP LADIES: 2; MEN: 2
HOLE #13
This straight away par four plays longer than its 375 yards. Add one club to your approach shot.

PAR 4 YARDS 375
HANDICAP LADIES: 6; MEN: 4
HOLE #14
This downhill dogleg right par four temps many to drive the green. Fail and you are sure to make a number other than par.

PAR 4 YARDS 332
HANDICAP LADIES: 14; MEN: 16
HOLE #15
This uphill par three plays one to two clubs longer due to the prevailing wind. If pin is up front, play short and chip up. Par on this hole is great.

PAR 3 YARDS 165
HANDICAP LADIES: 18; MEN: 12
HOLE #16
This downhill par four is played to a fairly small green. Selection of the proper club is important.

PAR 4 YARDS 371
HANDICAP LADIES: 16; MEN: 18
HOLE #17
This 188 yard par three to a very small green is the most difficult. Guarded by the Rivanna River on the left, par on this hole is often missed.

PAR 3 YARDS 188
HANDICAP LADIES: 8; MEN: 8
HOLE #18
The last hole, an uphill par four that plays longer than the 321 yards. Add one to two clubs for your approach to this elevated green.

PAR 4 YARDS 321
HANDICAP LADIES: 10; MEN: 6
